Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Ork — including ork.so, the Ork mobile apps, and the Ork browser extension (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Ork (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. Your account

You need an account to use most features. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Ork.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of the notes and content you create or save in Ork (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you — including syncing across your devices and transcribing voice recordings. We don't claim ownership of Your Content and we don't sell it.

You're responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to save and store it. Don't use Ork to store or share content that is unlawful, infringing, or violates the rights of others.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service or other users.
Use the Service to store or distribute malware or harmful content.

4. The browser extension

The Ork browser extension accesses web page content only when you explicitly invoke it (for example, to save a page, selection, or screenshot). Your use of the extension is also subject to the terms of the browser or extension store through which you install it.

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your data.

6. Changes to the Service

We're continually improving Ork and may add, change, or remove features at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, with reasonable notice where practicable.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could harm us, other users, or third parties.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. Keep your own backups of important content.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ork will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
